Strawberry Field Trips (Spring)

Preschool - 5th Grade

Bring your class to a working farm for an educational tour that meets state education standards for grades K-5. We grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, from strawberries, to tomatoes, to pumpkins, to collard greens. It’s our goal to teach children about real life applications of what they’re learning in school, from science to social studies. For middle school aged students, in addition to science and social studies, we focus on mathematics, economics, and the importance of ELA for effective business ownership and marketing.

What’s Included:

  • Learning stations:

A hayride wagon tour of the farm, where students learn about seasons, and bees and bugs in our ecosystem (Science K-5)

Storyboard teaching of strawberry plant life cycle from soil preparation to harvest and selling (Science and Social Studies K-5)
