Harvest Field Trips


Bring your class to a working farm for an educational tour that meets state education standards for grades K-5. We grow a wide variety of vegetables and fruits, from strawberries, to tomatoes, to pumpkins, to collard greens. It’s our goal to teach children about real life applications of what they’re learning in school, from science to social studies. For middle school aged students, in addition to science and social studies, we focus on mathematics, economics, and the importance of ELA for effective business ownership and marketing.

What’s Included:   

  • Learning stations:

A hayride wagon tour of the farm,where students learn about seasons and different crops that grow on our farm (Science K-5) 

Storyboard teaching of pumpkin plant life cycle from soil preparation to harvest  (Science and Social Studies K-5)

Harvest station where students learn about potato harvest along with an interactive lesson of attitude and morale (Science and Technology K-5)

Observational bee hive - with honey harvest - students can see the inner workings of a real bee hive through our new, clear plexiglass bee hive. This station also includes a fun mystery activity! (Science K-5)

A visit to our petting zoo, and a quick look at Thanksgiving – then versus now. A history lesson on the settlers' first Thanksgiving (Science and Social Studies K-5)

Hay bale maze which leads to the everyone favorite, the pumpkin patch!

  • Cup of ice cream (vanilla)   
  • Mini pumpkin for each child to take home
  • Fall activity book   
  • For classrooms, one large pumpkin to take home as a “classroom pumpkin”



  • Field Trips are offered in the morning only starting Mid- Sept through Late - Oct.
  • The field trip takes approximately 2 hours for your students to learn about the farm and different activities that take place. 
  • Start times are flexible – we recommend starting between 9-10AM.   


Cost: $8 per student/parent/sibiling 

*2 teachers per class of 20 are free

* We require a minimum of 20 participants for group field trips. For less than 20 participants, it is possible for us to combine you with a larger group. Please call for availability.
